I live in a four level townhouse—that’s 35 carpeted stairs and four levels of handrails that did not match the existing hardwood flooring. M&W removed the carpeted steps and replaced them with hardwood. They painstakingly scraped, sanded, stained and polyurethaned the four levels of handrails including the balusters. It took them close to three weeks, but the end result was worth it! Furthermore, at the end of each workday they spent at least an hour cleaning and vacuuming, and tidying up their tools. The crew from M&W Hardwood Floor Service did an EXCELLENT job sanding, staining and refinishing my hardwood hallway floor and pine stairs. The finished product looks so good that it's as if I had new wood put down. There was a lot of detailed work involved on the stairs, and the crew did a great job. Jose, with whom I spoke initially, came to my house promptly to provide a cost estimate, and he and his team charged a reasonable price. I have high standards for the remodeling work done in my own home. I prefer to do my own work as I am meticulous in detail, as well as hate chasing contractors to show up and do the job. M &W will not disappoint. They are professional, detail oriented, show up on time, and complete the job on time. I don't write many reviews, but I feel the overall quality is worth it. I had to wait two months for them to come out to do the job as they were very busy. I cannot recommenced M&W highly enough! Jose truly went above and beyond and our floors look gorgeous! He took two different tones of oak, sanded down to bare, and put nontoxic finish on them. The finished look dramatically changed and modernized the look of our house. Plus, Jose was kind to my kids and pets, finished early, and charged me a very fair price!
